2433A Submarine Warning Beacon
The 2433A Submarine Warning Beacon is designed to protect drilling rigs, FPSO’s, decommissioning rigs or similar, operating in NATO authorized submarine transit lanes or exercise areas. The construction of this is designed for long term immersion, and can operate for up to 90 days on a single battery pack.
Used in conjunction with the 6120C pinger receiver, this provides a minimum package required to comply with MoD requirements.
A second standby beacon provides 100% redundancy, or can be deployed for better coverage to eliminate dead zones.
Operation of the 2433A can be checked by surface personnel using the 6120C pinger receiver, or via an ROV with a 6555 antenna and receiver.
6120C Pinger Receiver
The 6120C is a Completely portable, battery-operated acoustic receiver, available as standard portable battery-operated unit as shown or as a rack mounted unit (6120CS). A low power Digital Signal Processor (DSP) detects acoustic pulses within a narrow frequency band, received pulses are converted to audible and visual signals.
A graphical display provides representation of incoming signals, status of the internal battery, and menu system for configuration.
Standard accessories include an omnidirectional hydrophone with 30 meters of cable, a deluxe headset & external battery charger.
