At the annual event of Haugalandskonferansen in Haugesund on March 15th, Imenco was honored with the prestigious title of “Company of the Year 2023″ in Haugalandet, Norway. The award was presented to owner and chairman Geir Egil Østebøvik by county mayor of Rogaland, Ole Ueland in the Maritime Hall of Quality Hotel Maritim.
The other nominees for the award were Sandvold & Velde Supply and UniSea, and jury leader Lillian Medby explained that the decision was not easy, given the abundance of exciting companies in the region.
-We are fortunate to have incredibly dynamic businesses in our region, making the jury’s job both simple and challenging, remarked Medby, before announcing Imenco as the winner to thunderous applause.
The jury highlighted Imenco’s visionary leadership, innovative approach, and steadfast commitment to excellence as key factors in their selection, claiming that the company’s impressive growth trajectory, fueled by a relentless pursuit of technological and market opportunities, has set it apart in the industry.
Established 45 years ago as an engineering firm serving the petro-maritime sector, Imenco has evolved under the leadership of Geir Egil Østebøvik into a global powerhouse. With a workforce of 450 employees spread across locations in Norway, UK, USA, Brazil, Chile, and China, Imenco has achieved remarkable success, boasting a turnover exceeding 1 billion kroner in 2023.
-We are honored to receive this esteemed recognition, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team of talented and dedicated employees, said Østebøvik upon receiving the award.
He also concluded that the award is not only seen as a testament to the past achievements of the company, but also a motivation for future success.
