DIMDEX is the only dedicated maritime security and naval defence exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. With maritime security in the region becoming a global concern, DIMDEX 2014 brought together military leaders and industry experts to continue dialogue from the previous three exhibitions and conferences, enhance relationships and examine new technologies.
Attending as part of the United Kingdom Trade and Investment Defence and Security Organisation (UKTI DSO) Pavilion, Imenco had support from their Middle East agent Indepth International Ltd for the duration of DIMDEX. This dual representation provided brand and product experiences for potential new customers allowing both companies to raise their profiles in region that can only enhance order and tender opportunities.
Imenco promoted their entire product range. Most interest was generated for lifting and handling equipment, particularly shackles, lifting and load transfer hooks, for the Smart camera platform and for HD cameras as surveillance is a critical issue both on land and at sea.
Interest came from national delegations, representatives of various GCC States, from shipyards and from international organisations seeking existing and advanced new technologies that would be complimentary to or enhance security or defence platforms.
Several demonstrations to multinational organisations of the Smart Camera platform will be undertaken over the coming months leading into the summer period.
