As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions, and systems. Including activities linked to the technical improvement of existing products and components. You should have good theoretical knowledge and a strong foundation of function skills with the knowledge of relevant technologies.
Challenges
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Executing the design, analysis and evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles. Adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, regulations and product/program requirements. This work would include mechanical and hydraulic/instrument engineering for all products.
Developing new solutions under guidance and in a team, setting based upon precedents in the organisation.
Working together with business leadership and project management. Specifies needs, communicates about project approach, and presents outcomes of research done. Delivering products as part of a team.
Skills
Proven years of experience within mechanical and hydraulics/instrument.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence others and lead small teams. The ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
Effective problem identification skills
Proven analytical and organisational ability.
Detail orientated and independent.
