This is a great result for us, says CEO Pål Schiefloe from Imenco. Imenco is known for smart solutions and superior quality, and it is fantastic to receive such recognition from one of the world’s leading manufacturers of ROVs. Imenco is experiencing an improved demand for subsea cameras, and Schiefloe hope the test results can help to bring out the quality benefits of Imenco’s subsea camera range.
Imenco has developed a series of subsea cameras and lights for harsh conditions; some are even designed to operate at 6,000 msw. The cameras are developed and manufactured locally. For the people that spend a lot of time and efforts on these cameras, it is a boost to receive this kind of feedback compared to our global competitors, says Åge Baustad from Imenco’s camera production in Grinde.
Breakthrough Subsea Cameras and Lights innovation
While two of Imenco’s subsea cameras were ranked as best in the industry, Imenco is working on the development of the next generation cameras. – We are launching a number of new mechanical and electronic products in the near future, says Jan Wulfsberg from Imenco’s R&D department. He is particularly highlighting a new platform called “smart camera” that will give completely new possibilities to the subsea industry. – The transition to «smart cameras» will be the same breakthrough for the subsea industry as the transition from mobile phones to smart phones, says an exited Wulfsberg. He has been leading the development of a number of today’s cameras and is deeply involved in the development of this new technology. – To be able to participate in the development of new solutions, is perhaps the most exciting aspect of Imenco’s engineering department, says Wulfsberg.
