IMENCO wins major Philippines Navy Contract for HDC-3100 Future Corvettes

IMENCO Defence Solutions, the award-winning supplier of marine and naval visual surveillance systems based in Aberdeen & Wick UK, is delighted to announce a recent major contract award from Electrix Co. Ltd, South Korea for the supply of CCTV systems to the Philippines Navy Future Corvettes programme. The contract covers two new ships being constructed at Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) facilities.

Electrix are the authorised representative of Imenco Visual Surveillance Solutions within South Korea. The first system will be delivered in 2023 with 2nd ship in 2024.

We are delighted to be able to leverage our expertise from similar CCTV systems in-service with international navies and apply it to the new Philippine Navy Corvettes. The system offers comprehensive and dedicated surveillance for the vessel whilst also providing high quality images to other key ship systems”.

Imenco Defence Solutions specialises in visual surveillance systems for the harshest environments and is a world leader in the provision of both topside and subsea Camera systems for both Naval Surface Ships and Submarines.

The Philippines’ Department of National Defense (DND) signed a contract with South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries on 28 December 2021, with the shipbuilder delivering a variant of their HDC-3100/HDF-3100 corvette/frigate design.

The ships are not yet named, and construction started during a steel cutting ceremony on 2023 May 11, with the one involving the second corvette will take place on November 2023.
