IMENCO acquires Salte and strengthens its position in machining by EDM production

IMENCO acquires the production company Salte AS and strengthens its position in machining by EDM production.

As part of its commitment to develop specialized products, IMENCO has now acquired the machining company Salte AS. The company has unique expertise in sparkling and EDM production, and supplies production services that enable the production of special parts and tools for the industry.

Today, the oil industry forms the main base of the company’s customers, but the general manager of Salte AS, Laila Salte Gausel, also sees a great potential within other industries now that the company is to be incorporated into IMENCO.

-The merger with IMENCO will give us many new opportunities for which products we can offer in the market, says Salte Gausel. She is also looking forward to becoming part of a larger professional environment.

CEO of IMENCO, Rune Bringedal, says that the aim of the acquisition is to exploit synergies across companies and increase utilization of capacity for internal and external production.

-We see this as part of our work to increase market share within machining with precise EDM production,  wire erosion and spark erosion, explains Bringedal.

The acquisition of Salte AS was approved in August, and it is planned that the company’s machinery and employees will start transferring to IMENCO’s branch at Voll during September.
