SFC SPM Loading Buoy Removal

Imenco AS was approached to design and fabricate a 20” Blind Flange Nut Carrier system and a Blind Flange with ROV interface. Positioning and assembly of the blind flange was to be performed subsea by ROV. As part of the testing process, 5 separate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) where carried out to verify the performance of the system. Challenges for this project included the angle at which the flange was to be positioned at as well as correct locating of all the flange bolts. Feedback during testing (which was supported by the ROV pilot was that the system was simple and affective. The installation was performed without incident and all parties where satisfied with the end result.
